Fenc Thermobionic
Fenc Thermobionic is a knitted fabric collection designed for activewear and everyday clothing. The fabric is made from biobased polyester produced from waste wood, offering an alternative to yarns derived from fossil sources. Bionic knitting technology balances warmth and breathability, using eight-channel yarn for moisture wicking, micro vents for airflow and thermal pockets for insulation. The adaptive structure follows the way hummingbirds regulate heat. Computer jacquard patterning creates shifting blue and green colors that recall wingbeats.

Fenc Thermobionic Bionic Knitting Fabrics was awarded the Platinum A' Design Award in Textile, Fabric, Textures, Patterns and Cloth Design in 2025.
